Ella's Night Lights
About this deal
Keďže však má Ela veľké srdiečko, ktoré pomáhalo všetkým v núdzi, jej priatelia sa rozhodnú splniť tentokrát sen jej. Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned. Et je souligne finalement le choix de palette de couleur terres, en utilisant le bleu nuit comme joyau central, et harmonisé grâce aux teintes orangées: un régal chromatique!
The book has an ultra cozy feel and is a perfect read aloud before bedtime, offering up a reminder that we are all important and that each one of us carries a special light within us. If you look very carefully at the night sky, you might spot a teeny-tiny sparkle out of the corner of your eye, a whisper of a tinkling trail. Sadly, she cannot see the sunrise, her biggest dream, because of her delicate wings, but her friends work together to make her dream come true. I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic! Also, I can teach kids to treat others the way you want to be treated because in the end all of Ellas friends get together and help her with her dream.
I found the story engaging, but the chief draw for me (and the reason I picked this up from a library display recently) was the artwork.
Some of the rhyme felt a little forced to match the story, but the woodland creatures were charming and cute friends.
Until one day, when her animal friends decide it’s their turn to give back—with a creative plan that just may make Ella’s dream of seeing the sun come true. The fox is the star of the show, rather than beautiful Ella, as she realises she can befriend animals and shine a light on their darker moments - so much so that they now even look out for her too!
So, when the moon is high, she collects as many shimmering beams of light she can find - a twinkle from a star, the glow from a lamp post. By the end of the book she has helped so many creatures and they want to help her so they create a fort for her to stay in so she can see the sunlight.
I rated it 4 stars because I think there are some better books about friendship out there even though this one was sweet. While it also offers a cute side of a moth, I really appreciated the book's uniqueness, and I think the students would like it as well. Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example.
